Colonial houses in front of the boulevard

Chabuca Granda Boulevard.-
The boulevard was built in Honor of Chabuca Granda, and is a public area created for the leisure and recreation of the Peruvian population. Daily, and especially on weekends, the people parade through the boulevard visiting its handicraft fairs or enjoying a theatrical show or music in its square. The Chabuca Granda Boulevard has become, without a doubt, a recreational area that can not be missed for a walk through the historic center of Lima.

Monument to the Humanity

Marcahuasi, mystical destiny a few kilometers far from Lima.-
Marcahuasi is one of the most important magnetic centers of the world. There, the action of the time and the elements of weather have created in the gigantic stone blocks, a series of enigmatic forms and figures that form a singular landscape. This one fantastic plateau was discovered by the Peruvian archaeologist Julio C. Tello in 1923, but just in 1959 Daniel Ruzzo presented it in his book “Fantastic History of a Discovery” where he describes it like the stone temple of an ancient civilization. Between the main rocky formations are: The Amphitheatre, the Labyrinth and the Monument to the Humanity.

Impressive view

Kuelap, an archaeological treasure in the north.-
Located at 3,000masl, in the department of Amazonas, Kuélap is one of the remains of the infinite skill architecture of The Chachapoya Civilization, town that inhabited the zone between the years 800 and 1400 AC.

It was discovered in 1843, by Don Juan Crisóstomo Grandson, wand from that date it is has been visited constantly by numerous investigators and travelers, attracted by the complexity and monumentality of its constructions.

It is considered one of greater Peruvian archaeological monuments...

Andean Condor in The Colca Canyon

Colca Canyon, impressive landscape in Arequipa.-
It is one of Arequipa's main attractions, located in the Colca Valley, this natural site is also known as "The Valley of Fire” and “"The Kingdom of the Condor”. The impressive landscape and the mysticism that surrounds the valley are one of the highlights to visit it.

It is also the habitat of animals like the Andean Condor among other 100 species of birds, four types of camels: vicuña, the guanaco, the llama and the alpaca. In addition there are more than 300 species of plants. One of the most invaluable spectacles during the visit to the canyon, is the dawn which is set in between the precipice where is possible to see, the sunrise and the flight of approximately 20 Condors.

Susana Baca

Susana Baca, Peru's most elegant singer.-
Susana Baca was born in the district of Chorrillos in the outskirts of Lima, the Capital of Peru, a place where descendants of slaves from the colonial era had lived until these days. She is a singer, composer and scholar of the rhythms of descent "Afro" in Peru. Among the most prominent awards she has obtained The Grammy Award in 2002 for her album of peruvian music "afro" in the category of Best Folk Album.

Not only is the most elegant singer of Peru. As musicologists she and her husband Ricardo Pereira, co-founder of the Black Continuous Institute in Lima and responsible for a major work of recovery of the black culture Afro Peruvian collected in the book From fire and water, which was published in 1992...
