About the Protected Natural Areas by the State (ANP), the peruvian legislation pronouns the following concept: "Continental and/or marine spaces of the national territory, expressly recognized and declared, including its categories and zoning, to protect the biological diversity and other values regarding cultural, landscaping and scientific interest, and because of their contribution to the sustainable development of the country".
